Step 1: Turn off the gas supply.
Step 2: Set the temperature dial on the gas control valve and thermostat to the lowest setting.

Step 9: Route the new pilot tube- thermocouple- and igniter wire through the manifold assembly.
Step 10: Bring everything back in reverse order.

Step 12: resume the operation.
