  • Step 1: First be sure the board is bad.
  • Step 2: The control board should have a LED that flashes error codes.
  • Step 3: Buying the correct board.
  • Step 4: Unplug the furnace.
  • Step 5: Take picture with your phone of the wiring and possibly a video.
  • Step 6: Remove the screws holding it in place.
  • Step 7: Insert the new board and screw it into place.
  • Step 8: Attach the wires to their correct location.
  • Step 9: Verify the wiring is correct.
  • Step 10: Plug the furnace back in and test it.
  • Step 11: Finish.
