  • Step 2: Fit the insulation batts in between the floor joists.
  • Step 3: Use stiff wire fasteners.
  • Step 4: Bow the fasteners upward lightly compressing the insulation.
  • Step 5: Install fasteners 6” from the end of each batt.
  • Step 6: Cut the wire fasteners to fit if your floor joists are not evenly spaced apart.
  • Step 7: Purchase insulation and cut batts to the correct size.
  • Step 8: Finish.
